Happy New Year!
So many good things are happening at Now I Can, and we hope good things are happening in your lives, as well.
Here’s an update and some things to watch for:
–We are working to expand our clinic to be able to treat 6 children per month (3 in the a.m. and 3 in the p.m.)! We are excited about this transition and the opportunity it will give Now I Can to better serve children.
–Thanks to those who supported Mike Ririe in his Kickstarter photo book for Now I Can. It is fully funded, and the books can now be ordered! Visit his website or www.nowican.org to order a 29.99 book filled with courage, hope, and beautiful little faces. We hope you’ll also join us at a reception where the pictures will be displayed, February 10th at the SCERA in Orem, Utah.
–Registration is open for our May 19 5K and 1 mile fun run. As always, families may earn $5 therapy credit for each runner they recruit! This is a fun way to get supporters out to the event and get a little help with therapy at the same time.
–Many of you have had the opportunity to meet or talk with Erica Brevard, our new office manager. She is wonderful! We miss Nate as he’s gone back to full-time school in preparation for PT school, but Erica has become a great part of our Now I Can team with her loving spirit, lightning-fast typing and efficient organization.
It is a joy for me to be a part of Now I Can. One of the best parts of my day is always the time I peak in to the therapy gym and get to interact for a moment with children. They are so fun. While my respect to put a kiss in each of Ben’s dimples was denied this week… I love to see those dimples each time he smiles! Each of our current patients is making great progress in their own way, and I am so proud of them!
I also want to give a big shout out to the Moms and Dads enduring therapy and particularly intensive therapy. It IS intense for the whole family! I’ve done it, I do it, and I know how it throws a wrench into all of life. I’m constantly impressed by those of you I see doing it with such grace and such compassion for your children. Three cheers for you! Keep on keepin’ on.
Best wishes to each of you!
