The intensive therapy at Now I Can is designed to produce results! Clients can choose between three and four-week sessions. Daily therapy will last for four hours each day, Monday through Friday.
Morning sessions (8 a.m.-noon) or afternoon sessions (1-5 p.m.) are available.
On the first day of each session, children will be evaluated and an individual program designed to best reach the goals of the child and his/her parents.
Now I Can will use the tools available to us to help reach those goals. Our experienced, talented, and dedicated staff will incorporate the following:
Suit therapy--with the NeuroSuit--will be done for up to two hours each day. Therapy involves wearing the orthotic suit while doing traditional strengthening and balance activities.
“Cage” therapy--using the Universal Exercise Unit, and weights and pulleys to strengthen specific areas.
Stander—which stretches muscles, and helps the body learn the feeling of being upright. This weight-bearing in a standing position will be done for about 30 minutes daily.
Massage—each day, therapy will start with a therapeutic massage to warm up and tone muscles and provide sensory stimulation and awareness.
Functional practice - children practice tasks that challenge them in their daily life in a controlled environment with skilled input to help them master skills that will improve their day-to-day functioning.
